Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, the bustling capital city of Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and rest. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a briefing.

Take a scenic flight to Nepalgunj, a city in the southwestern region of Nepal. Spend the day exploring or resting in preparation for the trek.

Fly from Nepalgunj to Juphal, the starting point of the trek. Begin trekking to Dunai, the administrative center of the Dolpo region. Enjoy the stunning mountain views and lush landscapes.

Follow the trail along the Thuli Bheri River, passing through small villages and terraced fields. Tarakot is a picturesque village with a rich history and traditional architecture

Continue trekking along the river, ascending gradually through beautiful landscapes. The trail passes through forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The trail becomes more rugged, with steep ascents and descents. Cross several suspension bridges and trek through narrow gorges to reach Nawarpani.

Ascend through picturesque landscapes, passing by mani walls and chortens. Dho Tarap is a beautiful village with traditional Tibetan culture and stunning mountain views

Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude. Explore the village, visit the local monasteries, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.

Continue trekking through the high-altitude terrain, gradually ascending to Numa La Base Camp. The trail offers panoramic views of the Dolpo region.

An early start to cross the challenging Numa La Pass. The ascent is steep and strenuous, but the views from the top are rewarding. Descend to Danighar, a beautiful valley surrounded by towering peaks.

Cross the second high pass, Baga La. The trail offers stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and rugged landscapes. Descend to Yak Kharka, a high-altitude pasture

Descend through forests and along glacial rivers to reach Phoksundo Lake, one of Nepal’s most beautiful and pristine lakes. The turquoise waters of the lake are surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush forests.

 

Spend the day exploring the area around Phoksundo Lake. Visit the nearby Ringmo village and the Tshowa monastery, and enjoy the stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

– Descend through dense forests and along the Phoksundo River. The trail offers beautiful views of the river and the surrounding landscapes.

Continue descending to Juphal, the starting point of the trek. Enjoy your last day of trekking through the picturesque landscapes of Dolpo

Fly from Juphal to Nepalgunj, and then take a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and rest.

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Bid farewell to Nepal, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Lower Dolpo Trek.
