Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital city of Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and rest. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a briefing and prepare for your adventure to Everest Base Camp

Take an early morning flight to Lukla by heli, the gateway to the Everest region. Begin your trek with a gentle descent through picturesque Sherpa villages and along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. Enjoy the stunning landscapes and the first glimpse of the Himalayas.

Today’s journey leads you deeper into the Khumbu region as you follow the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges adorned with fluttering prayer flags. After officially entering Sagarmatha National Park and having your permits checked, the trail begins its famous ascent towards Namche Bazaar. Although the climb can be demanding, you’ll be rewarded with stunning first glimpses of Everest and Lhotse on a clear day. Upon reaching Namche, the bustling Sherpa hub at 3,440 meters, you’ll check into one of the comfortable, upscale lodges—complete with warm beds and hearty meals, ensuring a refreshing end to a challenging trek day.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Explore Namche Bazaar, visit the local markets, and take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for stunning views of Everest ,other Himalayan peaks  and Khumjung village. You can also visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about the local culture and mountaineering history.

Trek through beautiful rhododendron forests and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Arrive at Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Visit the monastery and soak in the serene surroundings.

Continue trekking through alpine landscapes, passing through the villages of Pangboche and Somare. Ascend gradually to Dingboche, a picturesque village with stunning views of Ama Dablam and other surrounding peaks.

To further adapt to the thinner air, you’ll spend a second acclimatization day at Dingboche. A popular short hike leads up to Nangkartshang Hill, offering exceptional vistas of Makalu, Lhotse, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The ascent is both scenic and purposeful, as the altitude gain during the day hike helps your body adjust more effectively. After returning to Dingboche, you’ll have the afternoon to relax, socialize in the lodge’s dining hall, and hydrate adequately. This balanced approach significantly reduces the risks associated with rapid ascents and ensures you’re well-prepared for the days ahead.

Today’s trek takes you higher into the alpine zone, beginning with a gradual climb toward the small settlement of Dughla (Thukla). Here, you’ll find a touching collection of memorials dedicated to fallen mountaineers who once pursued Everest’s lofty summit. From this point, the trail steepens briefly before leveling out on a rocky plateau leading to Lobuche. The landscape becomes increasingly stark, dominated by glacier moraines and towering peaks. Although Lobuche’s teahouses can be basic, your guide will secure the most comfortable option available, ensuring you have a warm space and hot meals to refuel for the upcoming highlight: Everest Base Camp.

This is the day you’ve been eagerly anticipating. The trek begins early from Lobuche, leading you to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After dropping off your gear, continue towards the glacier-strewn path that culminates at the iconic Everest Base Camp. Standing at the foot of the world’s tallest mountain is a surreal experience, with views of the massive Khumbu Icefall and the surrounding Himalayan amphitheater. Following celebratory photos, you’ll retrace your steps back to Gorak Shep for a well-deserved rest. Accommodations are simple at this altitude, but the sense of achievement more than compensates.

Rise before dawn for an optional but highly recommended ascent of Kala Patthar, a famous vantage point offering unparalleled sunrise panoramas of Everest, Nuptse, and other towering peaks. The steep climb can be challenging, but the 360-degree Himalayan vista is truly unforgettable. After descending to Gorak Shep for breakfast, you’ll begin heading down the valley, noticing how each step lowers altitude and improves oxygen levels. You’ll reach Pheriche or Dingboche by late afternoon, where you can rest in a comparatively more comfortable lodge, enjoying the warmth and greater level of luxury after several nights at extreme altitudes.

Retracing your route, you’ll enjoy a mostly downhill walk as you pass through Pangboche and cross rivers flowing with glacial melt. The return to lower elevations brings a welcome surge of energy and oxygen, making the trek more comfortable. Take in the vibrant greenery and pleasant mountain breezes before arriving in Namche Bazaar, where the comforts of a luxury lodge and hot showers await. This is a chance to celebrate your accomplishments so far and perhaps enjoy the town’s café culture or pick up some souvenirs at local shops.

Your final day of trekking follows the banks of the Dudh Koshi River back to Lukla, crossing familiar suspension bridges and bidding farewell to the towering peaks that dominated the horizon. You might reflect on the memorable experiences, from high-altitude challenges to the serene moments in mountain monasteries. Upon reaching Lukla, you can relax in a high-end lodge, savor a hearty meal, and perhaps enjoy an evening of conviviality with your trek team, celebrating the successful completion of the Everest Base Camp journey.

Weather permitting, you’ll board an early morning flight from Lukla by Heli, leaving the Khumbu region behind as you soar over verdant hills and valleys back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your luxury hotel, where a hot shower and plush amenities will feel especially indulgent after days on the trail. The afternoon is free for you to explore Kathmandu’s vibrant markets or simply relax. In the evening, you can enjoy a farewell dinner at a top restaurant or within your hotel, reminiscing about your trek and celebrating the bonds forged in the mountains.

Depending on your schedule, you may depart Nepal today or choose to extend your stay to explore the Kathmandu Valley’s rich cultural heritage. Should you opt to remain, guided tours of UNESCO World Heritage Sites—including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Patan Durbar Square—can be arranged. Whether departing or continuing your Nepali adventure, your luxury Everest Base Camp Trek will leave you with extraordinary memories of the Himalayas’ grandeur, the warmth of local Sherpa culture, and the unmatched sense of accomplishment that comes from reaching the foot of the world’s highest peak.
