Helambu cultural village trek starts from Sundarijal, it is only an hour away from Kathmandu. During the trek, you will go ahead all the way through beautiful villages and the trek to Melamchi Bazar.

Embark on a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, the starting point of your trek. Begin trekking through Shivapuri National Park, passing through dense forests and terraced fields. Ascend to Chisapani, a beautiful village offering panoramic views of the Himalayas.

 

Continue trekking through forests of oak and rhododendron, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The trail offers stunning views of the Langtang range and the Helambu Valley. Arrive at Kutumsang, a charming village with traditional Tamang culture.

Ascend through alpine meadows and forests, with occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. The trail becomes steeper as you approach Thadepati, a high ridge offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Thadepati is a small settlement known for its serene environment and panoramic vistas.

Descend through beautiful forests and picturesque landscapes to reach Tarkeghyang, a traditional Hyolmo village. The village is famous for its ancient monasteries and unique culture. Explore the village, visit the monasteries, and interact with the friendly locals.

Continue trekking through forests and terraced fields, passing by small villages and monasteries. Sermathang is a beautiful village with stunning views of the Himalayas. Explore the village, visit the local monasteries, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Descend through lush forests and terraced fields to reach Melamchi Pul Bazaar, a bustling market town. The trail offers beautiful views of the Helambu Valley and the surrounding hills. Arrive at Melamchi Pul Bazaar and rest for the night.

Embark on a scenic drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you descend from the mountains to the bustling city. Transfer to your hotel and rest, or explore more of Kathmandu’s cultural attractions.
