Upper Mustang is called the Kingdom of Lo region, this region is the magic of nature and wonder of the culture and a paradise on earth. To get into these both region you need to have a different permit. Kagbeni is the official border to upper Mustang, where are the permits check post. Just after Gyu La (pass) east of Kagbeni brings you into the hidden magical world and in-depth of amazing authenticity of the Tibetan Buddhist kingdom of Mustang “Lo” used to be part of the Tibetan empire so still today their geographical, social and cultural way of life very closely related to Tibet.
